The Cottage

The Cottage, my family home lies nestled within the heart of the Shropshire woodlands. A place of rare beauty where the boundaries between landscape and cultivated flora and fauna blur seamlessly and harmoniously.

Images capture the changing seasons, the intertwining of life cycles and meaning, where flowers, foliage, and fledgling fruit trees carry the seeds of legacy and whisper stories of shared experience.

Nature's choreography weaves a distinctive tapestry and acts as a soft-edged vessel for memory.

The garden can be seen as a metaphor for our shared journey through time. Embodying a past, present, and future.

I like to think the project itself is not solely a body of images but an invitation to contemplate the interplay of family bonds and environment, and to perhaps ponder on our perspectives on land and legacy and what that looks like for us.

Visiting my parents and taking these images has been a way of celebrating and honoring the commitment to care and nurture within my family.
